A time when the air is crisp and cool, the leaves are beginning to fall, and the forests are turning into a beautiful fiery orange. Every autumn, Switzerland transforms into a fairy tale land with the scent of chestnuts roasting in the air, the crunch of leaves carpeting the forest floor and a hint of magic in the air. As beautiful as Switzerland is in the winter, in autumn it is almost like a dream. The mountains light up in gorgeous hues of orange and gold and the weather is just perfect, not too warm or too cold.

  1. Between the months of September and December, the weather is just perfect for the Indian traveller.   4. Autumn is grape harvesting season in Switzerland when the grapes are ripe and ready to be made into wine. Many people aren’t aware that Switzerland has acres and acres of vineyards that produce some delicious wine. However, the overall production of wine in Switzerland is very limited so you’ll rarely find Swiss wine sold outside Switzerland. All the more reason to visit – for the walks in the vineyards and the wine!
